Unbroken

I don't usually do book reviews on this blog.  Actually, I've never done a book review on this blog.  However, this book was so good that I wanted to share it with all of you.  I really love a good book, espeically one that is so good I find myself reading it in the bathroom, in my car, while burning cooking dinner, and while eating dinner.

I admit, I knew what happened at the end because I can't stand not knowing.  I can't help but read the end of books.  It's a bad habit but it's healthier for my heart.

I loved this book for two reasons: it's about a runner and it's about WWII.

I've read a number of books that take place during WWII.  I find that war very interesting to read about and have come across some great novels - this is by far one of the best.

I also love Laura Hillenbrand and I love her even more after reading about her experience with chronic fatigue syndrome.  She's an amazing writer while suffering so much.  And she tells a great story.

The main character Louie Zamperini is unforgettable.  After all he went through, he's still alive at 94.  My book club is reading this book and I can't wait to discuss it.  If you get an opportunity, I'd highly recommend it.  It'll give you a new way of thinking and new insights into WWII.
