Day 54 of Happiness: Off to Oregon

So, I am heading to Oregon AGAIN - the second weekend in a row.  It's a bit sad to be leaving Ivan alone for the second weekend in a row, but work calls.  I have a pesticide training to do with some nursery and greenhouse workers in Oregon - so, I find this important.  I've also been working on the training for many months so it's nice for it to finally come together.  But, leaving Ivan is still sad.

However, I figured I would share the beautiful photos I took last week of the Rocky Mountains from the airplane.  It was soooo beautiful.  I'd love to live here - in one of the tiny little towns.  What a beautiful view they must have down there.  I love flying over fabulous places that I can see from the sky.  It's fun to imagine what life must be like for the people who inhabit the area.

Some little spots of happiness - since I'd prefer to concentrate on happy things rather than the fact that I'm leaving again....

* I get to spend all morning with Ivan, since my plance doesn't leave until the afternoon
* I made another Honduran breakfast
* I got to see my niece Peyton
* I got my new tutoring student - she's from Colombia and has only been here for three years and I can't wait to meet her
* I get to go to the candy store in the airport (it's a tradition I have - there is nothing like eating three pounds of candy while on the airplane)
* Next weekend I will FINALLY be home and Ivan and I can go bowling!!!
* I get to eat some yummy food in Portland - and I love Portland, I could live here too

Ok, there are probably other things but I don't have time to write about them since I need to GET PACKING!!  I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

  1. I live in the Rockies... It's definitely gorgeous, and tons of fun. I grew up here, though, so I sort of take it for granted, and I would LOVE to live near the ocean.
