Top Performers.
At least that's what our Program Consultant from CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) told us.
At times work can be frustrating, unfulfilling, and not exactly what you signed up for.
At times it can feel like you're the only one working when other people get away with doing nothing.
At times, you have nothing to do.
At times you feel ignored or unimportant compared to other people in the office.
At times you want to call in sick.
But, at times people say things or do things that make you remember why you love your job.
Or why you do your job.
Or why the sweat and tears you put into your work are worth it.
And that time happened this week.
During our site visit from the CDC.
When our program consultant told our boss that we (my fabulous co-worker and I) were
Top Performers.
And that he knew we'd do great things.
And he looked forward to working with us.
And Jennifer and I felt justified.
And visible.
And like what we did was important in the grand scheme of things.
Which is a great feeling.
And now, I'm celebrating Veteran's Day.
At home.
With Peyton darling.
Who is running around the house in her walker.
Waving from behind the sofa.
While the dog sits on the sofa he is forbidden to sit on.
So I snapped a photo and then kicked him off.
DON'T LOOK MELISSA JO!!!
